My Top Travel Tips

Flight cost : $$$, I will not disclose how much I paid for my flights mainly because that’s something that can easily change within a matter of seconds . Depending on your location in the world your flight can range between $200-$2000 lol. I use the app Hopper to see when is the best time to purchase my flight. Most flight deals come out of states like Cali & New York. I have yet to find good flight deals where I live here in Detroit. Sometimes I fly out of Chicago or Toronto to save an extra $100-$300.

Before you leave….

Make sure you buy a

Universal Travel Adapter

๏ฟผ

This will come in handy at the airport, restaurants and your hotel (sometimes your hotel may provide you with one so you might want to ask).

A good pillow, this is gonna be a LONG flight and unless you are in 1st class you want to be as comfortable as possible. I purchased the BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow

this pillow was amazing.

Call your phone company to set up some kind of international travel data plan, because unless you are connected to WIFI you are going to come home to a high ass phone bill, especially if you are on social media a lot like I am. I have AT&T and this were one of the countries that they didn’t have a travel plan for.

Money ๐Ÿ’ฐ USD & credits cards are not accepted everywhere in the world, so it’s always a great idea to exchange your money before you leave. Not all of your money but enough for a little pocket change. For example if I have $1000 of spending money I would exchange about $200-$300 dollars & sometimes even that is too much, I always have some left over but it’s okay because I like to keep currency from different countries as a Souvenir. The best place to get your currency exchange is your bank because they will a better exchange rate than the airports ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Credit cards ๐Ÿ’ณ Spending money outside of your native county can be an hassle, make sure that your credit and or debt cards have no foreign fees. I have Chase and my debt card unfortunately has travel fees so I use my Chase Sapphire Reserve Card .

The Chase Sapphire Card is one of the best travel credit cards in my option. I earn 3x points on restaurants & anything that has to do with travel, hotel, airport, Uber etc.. so basically while spending money I look at it as saving money for my next trip, how cool is that? If you enjoy traveling I totally recommend getting this card. Click the link to earn 50,000 points ๐Ÿ™‚ towards your next plane ticket! I also added another bonus you receive a Priority Pass card which offers you space to relax and refresh before a flight for a certain amount of hours depending on the airport, free food and drinks :).

Oh one last thing about credit cards, please call your credit card company a day before you leave and let them know that you are leaving the country. It’s nothing worst than not having access to your money especially out of town. Talking to your credit card company decreases the chance of your credit card getting declined!

Luggage : Carry on, Carry On, Carry ON!!!!! If you don’t take anything from this blog please I beg you take this piece of information. If you are going on multiple flights which you probably are if you are flying out of the country please consider taking a carry on bag. This decreases the chances of the airport losing your luggage or it arriving 1-3 days later to your designation. It’s nothing worst than being out of the country without your belongings. And besides you don’t have to wait 30-45 minutes on getting your bags, once you are off the plane you are ready to hit the town. There are a lot of videos on how to pack a Carry on for long and or short out of the country trips.

Welp that’s all I have for you right now, I wanted to make this sweet & short. I’ll have more tips in future as I continue my travel journey. Thank you for reading

Love Jass
